Coaches

J Robinson Intensive Camps is the leader in Intensive Wrestling Camps. These are full time, seasonal positions that cover all aspects of coaching and working with the campers at J Robinson Intensive Camps.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Management of counselors and other subordinate staff
  • Scheduling staff within their group
  • Conduct practice sessions during technique and hard practice
  • Responsible for teaching technique during technique sessions
  • Responsible for recording scores during hard practice including positives, negatives, as well as lates, absences, etc.
  • Making sure staff is on time and practice begins on time
  • Lead campers through warm up drills
  • Performance of assigned administrative duties, address and resolve issues in your assigned administrative area
  • Check in and Check out duties as assigned
  • Uphold the quality, reputation, and ideals of J Robinson Intensive Camps, LLC
  • Transportation of Camp materials, staff, and participants
  • Staff Duty Assignments
  • Conduct wake up of campers -Supervision of campers during non-session hours
  • Conduct roll call at sessions -Supervision of recreation sessions
  • Conduct and enforce camper bed check -Enforce camp rules at and between sessions
  • Supervision of campers during meals -Perform other duties as requested by Camp Director

Requirements Include:

  • Minimum 5 years summer camp experience
  • Minimum 5 years coaching experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Excellent management skills (regarding people and situations)
  • Disciplined, self directed, and motivated with an upbeat attitude
  • Strong knowledge of sport specific technique and training methods including conditioning, strength training, technique, and other training workouts
  • Applicants must be physically fit and able to lead groups by participating in the training and leading by example
