Head Athletic Trainer
Established in 1978, J Robinson Intensive Camps has trained thousands of young campers from ages 7-19 in their respective sports. J Robinson Intensive Camps is an organization that prides itself on the work ethic that we instill in our campers to help them achieve the goals they have set for themselves.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and hire all Athletic Trainers
- Hire, schedule, and supervise onsite Athletic Trainers and a few at smaller locations throughout the summer
- Handle and resolve all Athletic Trainer staff issues
- Ensure proper record keeping, documentation and paper work
- Communicate directly with directors in regards to campers and staff medical issues
- Weekly management of supplies of medical supplies throughout the summer
- Lead liaison between camp staff and parents in regards to injuries
- Handle health and medical concerns that arise at camp to ensure all camper athletic training needs are met
- Make arrangements for campers to see a physician if needed
- Perform taping duties, etc.
- Ensure water stations are filled properly
- Monitoring and making sure room has adequate circulation
- Attend practices
- Point person for communication between office and camp site when dealing with medical issues
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements Include:
- Certified Athletic Trainer
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications required
- Emergency management skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Good work ethic, positive attitude, works well with others (campers, student athletic trainers, camp staff, coaches, nurses, hospital staff, etc.)
- Must work ALL summer – see schedule here
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive a 15 passenger van
