OVERVIEW

J Robinson Camps firmly believes there are no shortcuts to success: it requires solid commitment, ardent dedication, and strong work ethic. If an individual is willing to put forth a true and focused effort, our program can help anyone reach their goals. With the desire, passion and dedication required to make it through this program, we are confident that you will develop the skills and discipline to overcome substantial obstacles.

The intensive camp is a rigorous training program designed to enhance athletic performance. Participants are tested through a highly specific and structured program intended to help athletes become disciplined and internally motivated. J Robinson Camps have gained significant national attention for our unique intensive training programs and have also established an excellent reputation for providing the tools to become a premiere athlete. Athletes at all camps will receive professional technical assessments and learn effective practice methods to take with them after camp.

J Robinson Intensive Basketball Camps address all phases of the physical and mental sport of Basketball. Developing athletes within a challenging and intense environment in the sport-specific areas of technique, strength training, conditioning and mental attitude. We strive to train athletes how to extend their boundaries by setting new mental and physical limits; in turn leaving with a life-long work ethic instilled.

Skills Training
Mental Discipline
Focus areas include shooting, passing, rebounding, ball-handling, passing and defensive strategy. Instructors will teach innovative practice drills to help athletes develop their strength, quickness, agility and flexibility both during and after camp. Daily fundamental sessions will establish and reinforce proper form and execution. Perhaps the most overlooked component of a successful athlete's preparation is mental discipline. Our accomplished coaches teach athletes the importance of mental discipline; essential concentration skills through Relaxation and Visualization sessions. Athletes will learn the commitment necessary to apply an attitude for hard work.
Game Strategies
Conditioning & Strength Training
Classroom sessions will be used as an aid to the daily schedule and ongoing objectives. Through video presentations and featured speakers, athletes will receive training to build their understanding of game strategy. Interactive discussions will address common game-day situations, while answering questions related to popular play calling and team-based strategies in an effort to develop stronger students of the game.

Strength training experts will present advanced muscle and stamina building programs that you will be able to continue after camp. Activities will consist of speed ladder, track workouts and plyometrics for explosiveness and quick lateral movement. Athletes will have Physical Testing Evaluations to include body measurements, body fat %, static and vertical jump, agility testing, push-ups, sit-ups, and mile run time.

FACILITIES & HOUSING
21-Day Intensive Camp

The home of the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Basketball Team, the Division I University offers impressive athletic facilities and residence hall accommodations.
Campers will stay in the air conditioned Residence Halls with two campers per room. Meals will be served in the college cafeterias. The Camp Director, counselors, and staff will reside in the residence halls with the athletes.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS
Campers are to arrive the first day of camp and leave the last day of camp. Check in is from 1:00-5:00 pm on the first day of camp; check out is from 8:00-10:00 am on the last day of camp. Please do not make flight arrangements before 10:00 am on the first or last day of camp.

Travel arrangements to and from camp are the responsibility of each individual camper. J Robinson Camps has a relationship with Carrousel Travel for preferred airfare pricing. INSURANCE
All participants must be covered by J Robinson Camp's secondary payer insurance policy. This policy will cover all campers, and is in excess of any coverage you may have. No one will be admitted to camp without a signed release. This short-term excess policy is $10. 00 in addition to your camp fees. The camp does not grant refunds due to injury or illness.

Injuries are a part of any training camp. It is imperative that all athletes come to camp in good health; they will not be allowed to participate if they arrive injured. A physical exam (within the past year) by a licensed physician is required.

Insurance & Key Deposit
KEY DEPOSIT
A $40 key/damage room deposit is required for all campers. This is in excess to your camp fees. The $40 will be returned (in cash) when the camper has cleared the check out procedure and their room is okayed.

ELIGIBILITY
The Intensive Basketball Camp model is significantly more challenging both physically and mentally and will impress upon athletes the core values of dedication, sacrifice, discipline and strong work ethic. We recommend a minimum age of 14 to enroll in the Intensive Basketball Camp.
