J Robinson Camps

Are you passionate about basketball?  J Robinson Intensive Basketball Camps is!  We are in search of an onsite Basketball Camp Director our boy’s camps for the summer of 2007.  Our ideal Basketball Camp Director would possess skills to teach the principles of discipline, sacrifice, dedication and hard work through the game of basketball. They would also desire to make a positive impact and change the lives of youth.

J Robinson Camps has been training athletes for the past 29 years. The 2007 camp schedule will run for approximately ten weeks in various locations across the country. J Robinson Intensive Basketball Camp is not your typical 3-5 day summer basketball camp.  Our camps are rigorous training programs that will challenge athletes physically and mentally.  Our unique programs include skill development, strength conditioning, mental discipline and game strategy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Development and supervision of summer camps athletes and staff
• Assisting the Director of Basketball Operations in the hiring, contracting, supervising, scheduling and managing all camp staff during camp
• Delegation of responsibilities to all staff
• Developing a daily, weekly and camp by camp itinerary including on/off court sessions, weight room programs and recreational activities
• Teaching of the fundamentals of the sport and being able to incorporate them in the daily practice plan
• Communicating to campers/staff about discipline, sacrifice, dedication and hard work
• Working closely with Dir. of Basketball Operations before, during and after camps
• Maintaining the quality, reputation, and principals of J Robinson Camps

 Applicants Qualifications:

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree, at least 10 years coaching and camp experience
• Extensive background in working, teaching and coaching youth athletes
• EXCELLENT work ethic, skills in organization, leadership, communication and management of staff
• Entrepreneurial attitude and drive to pursue innovative basketball opportunities
• Currently a seasonal position, with potential growth to a full time position
• Position Start Date: First week of June 2007 End Date: August 14^th, 2007
• Camp Locations: Bowling Green State University, East Coast (TBD), University of Minnesota and Central Washington State University
• Travel between camp dates and all room and board costs is provided
• Weekly salary based on experience, plus training and bonus incentives throughout summer
