Registration/Payment Questions
1. How are J Robinson Intensive Camps different?
J Robinson Intensive Training Camps offer a training plan that specializes in complete athlete development through intensive workouts and personal maturation. Our primary focus is to train athletes on both the physical and mental elements of competition at an intense level. When you train with J Robinson Intensive Camps, you will learn what real training is all about. An athlete’s experience at J Robinson Intensive Camps will instill an impressive core work ethic that encourages goal setting, follow-through and attainment.
2. What is the difference between your 5-day and your Intensive Camps?
Our 5-day camps include our younger athletes. We train athletes ages 8-18 for our 5-day camps. These camps are designed for a wide range of skill levels and ages, and may incorporate live competition as well as technique instruction.
At Intensive Camps, participants develop skills in a disciplined and focused environment working in the areas including, but not limited to: technique, strength training, mental attitude, conditioning, and strategy. This type of camp is both mentally and physically demanding. Intensive Camps are very challenging and designed for campers ages 14-18. Because of their demanding nature, Intensive Training Camps are not a good fit for all athletes.
3. What ages can attend the camps?
Our Intensive Camps are open to athletes ages 14-18. Camps are for a longer period of time and will incorporate weight training, running and cross training. Athletes room with campers close in age and train with athletes the same age and/or skill level.
Our 5-day camps are open to ages 8-18.
4. What is the daily schedule?
A sample of the daily schedule is posted in the camp descriptions. Each day, campers will be required to attend different conditioning and training sessions. While at camp, a daily schedule will be posted in many locations for review. All information that is needed for various activities is posted on the camp schedule on site (when you athlete is at camp).
5. How do I contact the central camp office?
Our camp headquarters are located in Minneapolis, MN. Our office hours vary due to the camp season. Visit our Contact Us page for more information..
6. What is the re-enrollment rate from last year?
We have many repeat campers and referrals every summer. Each camp is different and able to give something different to each athlete. If you would like to know past results on a specific camp, please call the main camp office at 612-349-6585.
7. How can I request a roommate?
Roommate requests can be done on the registration form or you can call the main office at 612-349-6585. Roommates are assigned at check-in and can be arranged on site as well by checking in at the same time as your requested roommate. Please note that roommate requests are not guaranteed, but most requests are fulfilled.
8. What if I need to stay longer?
You will not be allowed to stay in the dorms longer than the specific camp dates. Plan on arriving and leaving on the first and last days of camp. Supervision is not provided outside of check-in and check-out times. If you need to arrive early or stay longer, you will need to arrange for your transportation and stay at area hotels on your own.
9. Are there religious services held at camp?
Every Sunday, athletes may attend the church service of their choice if their place of worship is within walking distance. Campers cannot be transported via vehicle to any religious service.
10. When can I visit my camper? – is there something special on the last day?
You are welcome to visit your camper(s). Your camper will know his/her daily schedule and can tell you the best time to visit. PLEASE NOTE: Campers are not allowed in vehicles at any time while they are at camp. This includes any family member or friends . Plan your visits accordingly.
11. What happens if my child gets sick during camp? – or gets hurt right before? – do I get a refund?
If your athlete gets sick or hurt during camp, we have trained staff on duty 24 hours a day to help. We encourage any sick or hurt campers to visit our athletic trainers or tell staff of their ailments. If athletes get sick or hurt right before camp, please call the main office number as soon as possible. A Cancellation Request Form must be filled out in order to formally cancel your application (see information on Camp Deposit Insurance below). You can review our refund policy in our Terms and Conditions. Please call the main camp office at 612-349-6585 with any questions.
12. What is your cancellation policy?
A summary of our cancellation policy is located in our Terms and Conditions. Call the main camp office at 612-349-6585 with any questions. If a camper becomes ill, gets injured or just decides they want to leave camp, you must contact the main office about any possibility of camp credit. Please familiarize yourself with our policy.
13. What is the Camp Deposit Insurance?
The Camp Deposit Insurance is for your protection against injury, sickness or the sudden need to cancel camp. Deposit Insurance is only available for purchase at the time you register. By purchasing this insurance, you will guarantee that your entire deposit is returned in the form of camp credit or cash, depending on when your Cancellation Request Form is received. If you cancel camp 60 days prior to the beginning of camp, you will receive a full refund (less the deposit insurance). If you cancel less than 60 days prior, you will receive full CAMP CREDIT including your non-refundable deposit (less the deposit insurance). Both situations require a Cancellation Request Form to be filled out and accompanied by a doctor’s note, school schedule, or proof of conflict. If you choose not to purchase this insurance and have to cancel, your non-refundable deposit will not be returned.

In your confirmation materials there will be a travel form to send back. Once our office has received your itinerary, we will arrange for a shuttle accordingly.
