Update from Scotty - May 2012
“After 2 serious brain surgeries totaling 19 hours, eye surgery, and a 6 week course of radiation treatment, I am beginning to feel much better and less fatigued. My wife and I have seen miracles happen as we have made the choice to fight this brain tumor with a positive attitude, hard work, and reliance upon God. However, we are not yet out of the woods and the battle moves on. Last MRI showed a spot that could be a reoccurrence; future testing will be needed to see if it’s really a concern. We are also fighting the financial fallout of medical bills and decreased work hours. However, like any good wrestler, we are determined to stay on the course and bounce back despite the setbacks. It’s interesting how sure we have become of things that matter most, while living day to day in uncertainty. One thing is very certain for us: the desire to live and win is stronger than the fear of losing.”
