You will not receive your traditional hockey camp experience at J Robinson Intensive Hockey Camps.  Our camps not only teach the game, but use the game of hockey to instill life lessons that you child can apply well beyond there playing days.

It is our commitment to offer you child the ultimate training experience that’s sure to be a challenge physically and mentally.

Skills Development

Camp instructors will teach you innovative drills at full speed to assist in developing your strength, endurance, agility and quickness. Special emphasis will be put on speed training, puck control, passing and receiving, shooting and checking.

Mental Discipline

“The game is 4 parts mental, to 1 part physical.”  J Robinson Intensive Hockey Camps believes mental discipline is a key component to an your success that is frequently overlooked.   Camp instructors teach you the importance of mental discipline through concentration, relaxation and visualization sessions.

Classroom Instruction

You will be taught the importance of being students of the game through classroom instruction and video presentation along with special guest speakers.  In addition, you receive off-ice training in game strategy, with interactive discussion on fore- checking, back checking, breakouts, power plays, penalty kill and team-based strategies.

Off-Ice Training

Plyometric and weight training sessions provide you with off-ice training techniques that are hockey specific.  Weekly physical tests of body fat %, static jump, vertical jump, standing long jump, grip strength, push-ups, sit-ups, bench press, hip sled and timed run mile assist you in charting improvements throughout camp.
