Why J Robinson Hockey Camps?
Intensive Camp Philosophy
J Rob Intensive Hockey Programs feel that discipline, sacrifice, dedication and hard work are important skills in hockey or your daily life are vital to success. We give players real-life experiences in a hockey scenario to redefine what the athlete correlates with these principles. Our intensive hockey programs are sure to change an athlete’s physical and mental limits as well as the way they approach the game of hockey.
Of course you can perform well when you feel good and when you are fresh, but there is no great accomplishment in that. Intensive camp will teach you how to perform when you don't feel good, when you are tired, when your body hurts and when you think you want to quit.
Intensive training will teach you how to perform under adverse circumstances. So when the game is on the line and you need to win you will be equipped with the skills to get you there because someone, somewhere will have pushed you to your limits.
Intensive
Doing something consistently over and over again at a high level. It takes a lot of work to make gains, break bad habits and develop good ones. The level of exertion and pace of camp is very high. Emphasis on expanding the camper’s mental capacity and training the body in a way no other camp does.
Discipline
Doing what you don’t want to do, when you don’t want to do it. Our camp will challenge your desire to becoming the best player you can be.
Sacrifice
Giving up 2-3 weeks of your summer to devote to hockey. Not everyone is willing to put the time and effort into making improvements in there game.
Dedication
The ability to do something over and over again at a high level. Your level of excellence comes from within. What you put in, is what you’ll get out of camp.
Hard Work
Out working your competition. The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender. The 3rd period is the most important period to win; you need to train to win the 3rd period.
J Rob Success Stories - The Change is Forever
Ryan S. (Camper) "Your philosophy will stay with me forever."
Lee & Shelly W. (Parents) "I just wanted to let you and the staff know what a major positive influence you had on my son's present and future success."
Matthew L. (Camper) "The intensive hockey camp that I went through was by far the most mind blowing experience I've ever been through. All the kids that I met eventually became family. I felt like I had known them for years. All of the coaches were great. They always pushed me to the next level every day. This camp changed me in a lot of ways and I could not have been happier. I came out with new friends, a new perspective on life and a more intense love for the game of hockey. I'll see you next year again."
Phil G. (Parent) "I am so impressed at what my son learned at your camp. Setting goals in life, thinking about how he is with people, thinking about what is important in life, these are things he came home with from J Robinson Camps. He seemed to grow and mature from the experiences there. Thank you for running a camp that attends to the bigger picture in these young men and the values they grow up with."
Allan S. (Camper) "The reason I write this letter is to let you know how much your camp has helped me outside of the sports arena. Though I did not realize it at the time, the discipline that I learned from your camp helped me to achieve my goals."
Dianne H. (Parent) "As parents, we are very pleased with the results of your camp. It sounded like the toughest experiences our sons have gone through and may ever go through but the dividends are paying off and I believe will continue to pay off."
