In a study conducted in 2012 by the Institute for the Study of Youth Sports at Michigan State University, research proved that the J Robinson Intensive Camp training model was “highly effective at enhancing the psychological development of the participants.” Camp athletes were analyzed on a psychological skills questionnaire, observed at camp, and assessed in three interviews at the beginning of camp, one week after camp, and at the end of the season (9 months after camp).

The study concluded that athletes showed significant and long-term improvement in the following areas, also stating that “It is unlikely that these variables would have increased on their own over the course of 9 months.”

PEAKING UNDER PRESSURE

Our model has proven results. Thousands of athletes every summer come away from our camps with improved athletic skills, physical conditioning, and mental toughness—a skill set that they will apply on the basketball court, in the classroom, and in life.
