No other camp emphasizes the development of life skills as a key part of the curriculum. The J7 training philosophy—Discipline, Dedication, Sacrifice, Hard Work, Responsibility, Accountability, and Service—guides each activity at our Intensive Camps. We believe that the path to personal excellence is paved by an unconditional commitment to becoming a better athlete and a better person. Teaching the J7 within the context of wrestling gives us the opportunity to train athletes in an environment that fosters leadership, individual achievement, and shared success. Over and over again, we hear from past campers and their families who say that the values instilled during camp have made a permanent impact on how the athletes approach their sport, as well as their life.
You are willing to do what you don't want to do when you don't want to do it in order to improve.
You persevere in the face of adversity, failure and exhaustion until you succeed.
You do what it takes to succeed no matter what you have to give up to get there.
You commit to your goal but know that you can always work harder and do more.
You accept that each decision you make has an effect on your own life and the lives of others.
You accept consequences and understand that only you are responsible for your success or failure.
You help others without the need for personal recognition.
