REQUIRED ITEMS TO BRING TO CAMP
- Last name of camper must be written or affixed on every item brought to camp
- Towels (showering is required after every practice, so bring 4 or more)
- Wrestling Shoes (1 pair required, 2 pairs recommended)
- Running Shoes (1 pair required, 2 pairs recommended)
- Singlets (COMPETITION CAMPS ONLY)
- Standard twin size bedding*
- *Bedding is provided at the Wisconsin 28-Day Intensive Camp
- 10-12 sets of workout gear:
- T-shirts/shorts/socks/athletic supporters/compression shorts
- T-shirts must be labeled with camper’s last name on back (pre-ordering of personalized shirts available during online registration). Dark colored workout shirts are not recommended as camper's name will be difficult for staff to read.
- Shorts CANNOT have pockets unless sewn securely shut. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- No tank tops or cut off shirts allowed. All shirts must have sleeves.
- Cool weather training gear (jacket, sweat pants, wind pants, etc.) - Intensive Camps only
- Jump rope (may also be purchased at camp store) - Intensive Camps only
- Personal training/support equipment (e.g.. knee brace, ankle brace)
- Antibacterial soap or body wash (i.e. Phisoderm or Dial) to decrease the chance of skin infections
- Nail clippers
- Sunscreen
- Laundry detergent to wash items that the laundry service does not (detergent also available for purchase in camp store)
- Laundry service washes all workout clothes (shirts, shorts, socks, underwear, compression shorts)
- Writing supplies (paper, stamped envelope, pen/pencil)
- Alarm clock (cell phone alarms are acceptable)
- Swim gear - Intensive Camps only
RECOMMENDED ITEMS TO BRING TO CAMP
- Headgear (campers are NOT required to use headgear)
- Kneepads
- Mouth guard
- Valtrex supply for duration of camp (preventive medication available by prescription only) - Intensive Camps only
- Tube of Vaseline or other antibiotic ointment (for abrasions / skin chafing)
- Athletic trainers will provide this on request, but it is helpful to have some for the dorm room also
- Fan (rentals are available at the camp store on first come, first serve basis)
- AIR CONDITIONER UNITS ARE NOT ALLOWED
- Rollerblades/Skateboard/Non-motorized scooter (optional)
- 4 envelopes and 4 stamps (also available at the camp store)
- Spending money ($50-$80/week is average amount recommended). This includes camp store purchases as well as off-campus activities (grocery store, movie, restaurant, etc.), so if you put money in the camp store bucks, we also recommend providing some cash for those off-campus activities.
